Last week rugby legend, Mark Ella, was at the Jindabyne Oval helping to train and encourage local players.
The man who played for the Wallabies between 1979 and 1984 and played 25 tests, 10 as captain, has a soft spot for Jindabyne and country kids.
He said that he had been to Jindabyne off and on for the last ten years through his association with the Piglets and the Bushpigs.
"Big city kids are more exposed to coaching but country kids are just more natural and full of life," Mark said.
"These guys are doing it because they enjoy it. None of them know who Mark Ella is and every one of them is treated as an equal. They just need to enjoy the game, we don't try to get to complicated," Mark added.
Mark was joined members of the Brumbies development squad, Adam Fayey, the Brumbies U16 representative team coach, Craig Lessburg, Monaro coach and development officer and Tim O'Brien, far South Coast coach and development officer.
Coaches showed interest in Josh Tregidgo as a promising player from the U15 Piglets team. Almost 40 members of the Jindabyne Piglets aged from 10-15 years old turned out to take part in the junior development day.
