Skiers and everyone interested in the Nordic shelter are being encouraged to come along to Perisher on Sunday for the official opening of the newly refurbished and expanded Sverre Kaaten shelter.

The shelter at Perisher will be officially opened by Minister for Sport and Recreation, Graham West and Member for Monaro, Steve Whan, at 12 noon, Sunday, August 10.

The opening will follow a morning of racing in the Australian Senior/Masters 10/15km Freestyle FIS competition. After the opening the City Tatersall's Boonoona Open will take place.
