An incredibly lucky 45 year old man escaped with serious bruising after an accident which could have cost him his arm, on Monday morning.
The Snowy Hydro SouthCare helicopter was just preparing to go out on an educational visit to Canberra Girls School, when the emergency call came in directing the pilot to pick up a man from Jindabyne Oval after his arm had been wedged as he was working on a tipper truck at Jindabyne Landscaping.
The man was flown to Canberra Hospital.
Police said that the incident will be investigated by WorkCover officials.
